Quick Answers

How accurate is the distance?

We use the Haversine formula for mathematically precise straight-line distance. Driving routes are typically 20-40% longer due to road networks.

Why is driving time different from Google Maps?

Our estimates assume 80 km/h average speed on extended routes. Google Maps uses real-time traffic and actual road data. Use our estimates for rough comparison only.

Do you track my searches?

No. All calculations run 100% in your browser. We use Google Analytics to understand site usage, but your specific searches and calculations are never stored or tracked. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I use this for navigation?

No. SnapDistance shows straight-line distance only. For actual navigation, use Google Maps, Apple Maps, or dedicated GPS devices.
